Greensboro Plumbing Supply Announces New President of Company.

Greensboro Plumbing Supply (GPS), announced Bob Nelson has been promoted to the position of President, from his former position as Vice President of Sales, effective July 25, 2013.

Nelson will now fill the role previously held by Rob Skirboll, who is no longer associated with GPS. In his new role, Nelson will drive the efforts to evaluate new business strategies, while positioning the company for growth. "I will still be involved with daily sales and one on one contact with GPS's valued customers," Nelson said. "He was the right choice to lead GPS", Frank Brenner said, one of GPS's owners. Nelson has been in the mechanical, industrial and commercial plumbing industry for nearly forty years, the last twelve years with GPS.

"I plan to continue to nurture the personal and professional growth of the individuals who make up the GPS team. It is the collective talent and dedication of our team members that has made this company a success, interacting daily with our customers, many who have been doing business with GPS for over 40 years," Nelson commented.

Founded by Stanley Goss, GPS has been providing mechanical, industrial and commercial plumbing solutions to colleges, universities, large institutions and businesses throughout North Carolina since 1949 and has been a strong advocate for renewable energy since 2009. This includes solar thermal, solar power (PV), LED lighting and rainwater harvesting. The company installed solar and has upgraded its lighting to LED. GPS represents over 250 qualified companies, with an inventory exceeding 20,000 items. The company has 24/7 service, because things just don't go wrong during regular business hours. After 63 years in business, GPS is still about quality and service.
